I am reminded of Eckhart Tolle’s book The New Earth where he talks about “flowers, crystals (i.e., gemstones) and birds as our transcendent bridge to enlightenment.”

Deep within the earth, stones formed thousands of years ago. Each one became the embodiment of various minerals creating a conduit for the molecular structure we embody today. This profound awareness, that gemstones are formed from minerals deep within the earth; the same substance that we embody, holds the mystery of our attraction and fascination to them. Hold a gemstone in your hand, place it on your heart, or wear a glistening gem around your neck and you are connecting with the very substance you are made from. Notice how you resonate to a particular stone. Perhaps it offers comfort, peace, vitality; or your eye is drawn to the brilliance of it’s color, opening and softening your heart. Our attraction to a particular stone occurs for many reasons. Next time, when you are drawn to a stone that resonates with you, listen to its message. Each stone holds lifetimes of wisdom to support you on your journey.
